It started at the rink. Obviously.
For the past 13 years, I've been a hockey mom.
Thirteen years of early morning practices, freezing cold arenas, weekend tournaments, endless driving, and more coffees than I could ever count. And let's not forget those evening games when the contents of everyone's coffee mugs become just a little more questionable. 😉
And somewhere along the way, something pretty amazing happened.
Hockey became my social club.
Some of my favourite memories aren't even about what happened on the ice. They're about the people I've met along the way. The moms I've laughed with in the stands, the tournament weekends that turned into mini vacations, the parking lot conversations, the team dinners, and the friendships that have lasted long after the final buzzer.
Because when you spend that much time at a rink, the people beside you become so much more than just other hockey parents.
They become your people.
That's where the idea for Hockey Mom Social Club came from.
I wanted to create something fun that celebrates this crazy, wonderful hockey-mom life. Something we could wear proudly, in our local hockey colours, that feels a little less like team merchandise and a little more like us.
Whether you're cheering from the stands in Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, or West Kelowna, we're all part of the same club.
The one with the early mornings, the loud cheering, the road trips, the rink coffee (contents not always guaranteed), and the friendships that make every minute worth it.
So here's to the moms who show up, cheer loud, make memories, and somehow manage to have a whole lot of fun along the way.
